Is a former graduate student of Philosophy who was cruelly forced to go out and get a real job. This exposure to ‘real people’ has enamored Sinister Dan of the notion that knowledge is rare and that knowledgeable people being reasonable is almost entirely unheard of. The author expects to be no exception to this rule.
The Sinister One is an avid student of politics and continues to pursue his informal education in philosophy, writing, ethics, history, a little science, NFL football and the careful preparation and consumption food. He is not under the impression that he does any of these things very well. Sinister Dan is a Highly Concerned Safety Professional in an industry that has some very large moving parts.
He lives in eastern Canada, in a spot that he previously believed to be a dot of bug poop on the map. He shares his residence with three people, presumably his wife and daughters. Sinister Dan is not actually named Dan, nor is it thought that he is terribly sinister. Sinister Dan is not GK Chesterton.

The rural south of the US is a hotbed for homegrown analogies used by the likes of presidential candidate Fred Thompson. This site randomly produces homespun analogies, some of which seem to almost make sense, some of which are clearly insane. Thought it might be worth checking out.
